This is Jinkie. Please pray for her. She is a strong beautiful woman whose greatest desire is to become a missionary. We keep telling her that she may be a welder by trade but is a missionary at heart. If she finds out that one of her neighbors has no food, she will give them her last bag of rice. If she finds out that one of her young co-workers had to choose between feeding his family and buying work gear, she gives them her work gear. She wears clothing and running shoes full of holes made from the welding sparks; she even wants to take advanced classes and buy a portable welding machine so she can make more money to help others. We worry about her because she doesn’t wear a respirator and her helmet isn’t working properly so she has to blink often while welding so she doesn’t lose her eyesight. She has tried to set money aside for new safety equipment and for a welder and advanced welding classes but she always ends up finding someone she feels is in greater need of the money than herself.
Helping others with material goods is not the only thing Jinkie gives away. She has been known to take a day off work to serve alongside us in jail and hospital ministry or whenever she feels called to serve, even if it means she won’t get paid that day. She mentors young people and comforts the sick and lonely. Jinkie is very generous in giving of her time and love of Jesus to all she meets.
Yeah, Jinkie is pretty special; her husband Jessie is pretty special also. Even though both of them have jobs and work very hard to support themselves and their two boys, they have a hard time making ends meet sometimes. Though that has never deterred them from giving all they have to others they feel are in greater need. Their boys are blessed to be raised in such a Christ-filled home!

Put Giebel Family/Jinkie in the memo.
She needs 10,100 pesos(~$235) for her advanced welding class, 6000 pesos(~$140) for the portable welder and rods, 5500 pesos(~$130) for the respirator and repair of helmet and ….pesos for welding gear such as boots, gloves, jacket, and something to protect her legs from the sparks and flux. We left this amount open because we do not know yet the cost.
